I am the author of End-Times Simplified: Preparing Your Heart for the Coming Storm (Forerunner Publishing). It has sold tens of thousands of copies and has been translated into seven languages. It focuses on the storyline of the return of Jesus and is dedicated to helping believers prepare for the unique dynamics that surround it. I have recently rewritten, revised, and expanded this book and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to understand the storyline and unique dynamics of the return of Jesus.
I’ve also written The Nations Rage: Prayer, Promise, and Power in an Anti-Christian Age (Chosen Books). My hope is that book helps believers everywhere prepare our lives for the in-breaking power of God on the earth and the response of the people to His Divine activities in the days to come.
I’ve just released The Triumph of Beauty: God’s Radiant Answer to the World’s Growing Darkness (Chosen Books). I believe that the body of Christ is going to shock the world when the Father has finished making Her beautiful as Jesus is beautiful. We can overcome offense, hurt, and cynicism and enter into the fullness of the Father’s plan to put the Church on display as a witness to the nations of the earth.
This is my personal website. It includes my personal blog, focused on “Proclaiming the Beauty of Jesus”. My mission is to help believers connect more with Jesus in a life of prayer and preparation for the days to come. As a result, I write on prayer, devotion to Jesus, personal development, leadership, and biblical themes. This website also includes longer articles and helpful resources that are both practical and inspirational in serving your journey towards wholehearted love for Jesus.
My goal is to create inspirational, helpful content that you can apply to your personal and professional life. If you are wanting to love Jesus more - at home, at work, and in ministry - then my writing is for you.

My Biography
I am a former youth pastor in Upstate New York. I was moderately successful and mostly loved what I was doing, but felt a stirring in my heart for something more. Then the invitation came to move to Kansas City and help build the International House of Prayer. At the time this ministry, led by Mike Bickle, had been engaged in night and day prayer and worship for only a few years. Today, this prayer ministry has been seeking the face of Jesus nonstop for over 20 years. It has been an honor and a privilege to join with some of the finest people I've ever known. Together, we've been working hard to faithfully build an unceasing witness of the beauty of Jesus. It has been a labor of love, and it has been a joy to discover what I was made to do.
Today, our ministry involves thousands of people locally, which includes our university (IHOPU) and our local church (Forerunner Church). There are now many departments, divisions and sub-divisions, and constant activity. The nations are constantly represented well in our prayer room and online via our continuous webstream. Life has become exhilarating, complicated, difficult, wondrous, and challenging. I've watched this little ministry grow from fifty people in a trailer working hard to "give Jesus no rest" in ceaseless prayer to a true international ministry with all the pressures and human dynamics that come with that spectacular growth.
I came to pursue Jesus, and in the process I've written a book and a few other resources, I've received the education of a lifetime on an international platform, and learned dynamics of leadership and management that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. It's my joy to share some of those insights with you.
Currently, I'm the President of the International House of Prayer University. I love what I get to do, and I am overjoyed by the team I get to do this with, and the students we get to serve and train together. These are some of the finest men and women around, and the finest students. When I started in youth ministry over 20 years ago, I made a promise to the Lord that I would, by His grace, be a youth pastor all the days of my life. So far, despite everything I do, the Lord has honored this commitment.
My primary assignment and great joy is to serve the house of prayer as an intercessor. The cry of my heart since my early 20's has been to be a man of "one thing" (Ps. 27:4). I've worked hard to prioritize prayer and knowing Jesus as the primary themes of my life.
I'm married to an amazing and beautiful woman - Tracey (@traceysliker on Twitter) and have four incredible children. It's my joy to spend my free time and beyond with them as we travel and explore life with Jesus together. They make me proud and fill my life with much joy.
